Our Year 2 children have been busy unleashing their inner artists! Inspired by their study of vibrant street art and public murals around Leeds, the class collaborated to create a magnificent, multi-coloured mural right on the floor of our Year 2 outside area.
Working together, the children chalked out bright, interconnected patterns, demonstrating fantastic teamwork and creativity. Through this hands-on project, pupils experienced how art can bring shared spaces to life.
Back in the classroom, they have taken these newly developed skills even further, designing their own unique individual patterns and experimenting with shapes and colour mixing.
It has been a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to love expressing themselves through art, learn how public murals shape local communities, and flourish as confident, imaginative young creators. We are so proud of their artistic journey!
